In summer 2026, FarmLab brought Museo Aero Solar to Southeast Styria through The Sky We Want, a participatory art project developed in collaboration with Zwischenland.

Five local schools and the wider community collected used plastic bags and other lightweight plastic films, including agricultural plastic waste from the surrounding area. The material was cleaned, cut and assembled into sections of a large solar sculpture, while participants added drawings and messages around the question “What kind of sky do we want?”, addressing themes of peace, ecological responsibility and our relationship with the atmosphere.

In July, the different pieces were brought together at KS Room in Feldbach for the final public assembly. The resulting Museo Aero Solar transformed discarded plastic into a collective, inhabitable sculpture capable of rising using only solar heat.
