How can open learning and working spaces strengthen rural regions?

On 25 February 2026, DorfUni Bad Radkersburg and FarmLab invite engaged people from Southeast Styria to a full-day vision workshop dedicated to developing Mitmachräume — open spaces for learning, making and sharing.

The workshop is part of the project
“Südoststeirische Mitmachräume zum Lernen, Tun und Teilen”,
funded under the measure 77-03 Rural Innovation Systems within the European Innovation Partnership. It marks the beginning of a six-months regional process aimed at building a shared vision for distributed learning and working spaces.

The programme includes:

• Inputs from regional and European practitioners

• Practical examples of existing maker and workshop initiatives

• Thematic working groups on regional needs, organisation, content and target groups

• A round table on future collaboration

Who can participate?
Young people and engaged actors from education, culture, civil society, business and municipalities. Places are limited.
